Social Media of this type have both a social and a recruitment function. Their users can share their knowledge and experience. Social media dedicated to professionals and professionals allow them to build a professional identity. Thanks to them, they have the opportunity to present themselves, create a network of contacts, expand their knowledge, improve recruitment results or gain valuable inspiration for new professional projects. LinkedIn and GoldenLine, among others, fall into this category. The former is the world's most popular and largest professional social network. It allows you to follow the activities of the people and companies you are interested in and to advertise your products and services. A well-thought-out, professional profile on LinkedIn makes it significantly easier to find a job. On the site, users can share their knowledge and personal thoughts about the industry, as well as share other people's posts. All this contributes positively to the personal branding process.

As for GoldenLine, on the other hand, it is a Polish recruitment site that allows users to create a professional profile, providing them with a range of job offers. The SlideShare service was founded in 2006 by Rashimi Sinha. Its main aim is to provide a free tool for individuals and organisations to post presentations to share ideas and make connections - both personal and business. SlideShare also allows internet users to search for presentations of interest, tag them and post them on websites or blogs. In 2012, the company was acquired by LinkedIn and eight years later by Scribd, a document sharing platform.

What will it do...?

How do I actually use SlideShare? SlideShare allows you to freely upload and download multimedia presentations created with Microsoft PowerPoint, Open Office or Apple Keynote, documents and spreadsheets created with Microsoft Offiice or Open Office, as well as text documents in doc, docx, txt, odt, rtf or pdf format. To be able to do this, you must register on the platform and create a free individual account. This will allow you to save content on your local disk. Users who are not registered on SlideShare can only view content of interest.

Presentations and other content are uploaded here as follows. The first step is to specify the location of the file on the local disk and its language. The file is then described with a title, keywords and a verbal description, and assigned to a category in the subject index. The next step is to specify that the presentation can be saved by other users and who can view it. Once the above process has been followed, the file will be added to your account and made available to other users.

In order to use SlideShare's resources, you must use the site's search engine or the index, in which individual materials have been assigned to categories corresponding to particular fields of knowledge or areas of human activity.

SlideShare in your business

How do you use the SlideShare platform to promote your business? With its help, you can reach a wide audience by distributing the content you create on a large scale. To make it easy for them to find your presentations or other branded material, you should categorise it and tag it with relevant keywords. SlideShare also allows you to effectively increase traffic to your website. To do this, simply include a link to your website in the content you publish, its description or account descriptor. However, you should not do this on the first three slides - they will then be disabled by SlideShare. A good solution is to link to graphics or text or create links in the form of call-to-action buttons that encourage your audience to click on them and go to your website.

The Webinar Academy platform helps to improve understanding of the aforementioned website. Why else should you bet on webinar training from Webinar Academy? User feedback on it is extremely positive.
